Price guide

How much does a cleaner cost in Dorset?

Short answer: our rate is £35 an hour on a 2-hour slot and £30 an hour if you book a 4-hour block. A typical weekly clean in Weymouth or Dorchester works out at £70 a visit, and a whole house top to bottom at £120.

Below is what that buys, what pushes the price up, and how to work out what your own house needs before you book anything.

Typical cost by house size

These are the bookings people actually make, not a sales table. If your list won't fit the slot, we'll say so before you book.

A guide, not a quote. We confirm what's realistic for your list when we call you back.

What actually affects the price

  • House size and, more importantly, how many bathrooms there are
  • How often we come — a weekly house never gets a chance to build up
  • Pets, especially anything that sheds onto carpets and sofas
  • Whether laundry, ironing or the oven are on the list
  • How clear the surfaces are when we arrive
  • One cleaner or two — the rate is the same, the time halves

Hourly rate vs a fixed price

Plenty of companies quote a fixed price for a "standard clean". The catch is that the standard is theirs, not yours — and when the time runs out, the job stops wherever it happens to be.

We charge for time because you control what that time is spent on. You write the list, we work down it in order, and the most important jobs are done first. If four hours isn't enough for what you want, you'll know from us before you pay for it.

Is a cheaper cleaner a bargain?

You can find someone cheaper than us in Dorset. What's usually missing at that price is a DBS check, public liability insurance, cover when they're ill, and anyone to call when something goes wrong. That's fine right up until it isn't.

Our rate covers a vetted, insured cleaner, a written standard they work to, and a 24-hour promise to come back and put anything right.
