Laundry is the job that never finishes. We do it in your home, with your machine and your detergent, so nothing leaves the house and nothing comes back smelling of somebody else's softener.

The maths matters here: a wash cycle is roughly an hour and drying is another. That's why laundry visits are 4-hour blocks — in two hours we can put a load on, but we can't see it through to the airing cupboard.

What's included

Sorting and putting on wash loads at the right cycle and temperature
Transferring to the dryer, or hanging on the line or airer if you prefer
Folding and putting away into drawers and wardrobes
Ironing by the basket — shirts, school uniform, bedding

We'd rather tell you up front than disappoint you on the day.

Dry cleaning or anything labelled dry clean only
Hand-wash silks, tailoring and wedding dresses
Stain removal we can't guarantee — we'll flag it rather than risk the fabric
Taking laundry off-site

Getting the most from the visit

1Leave detergent, softener and any specific instructions out
2Leave a fresh bed set on each bed you want changed
3Point out anything that must not go in the dryer
4Make sure the machine is empty when we arrive if you can

Common questions

Can you just do ironing?: Yes — book a block and we'll iron for the whole visit if that's what your list says. Most people mix it with a kitchen and bathroom clean.
What if a load isn't dry by the time you leave?: We'll leave it hung out on the airer, folded ready, or in the dryer set to finish — whichever you've asked for. Nothing gets left wet in the drum.
