Security

Keys, access and home security

If we hold a key to your house, you deserve to know exactly where it lives and who can get to it. This is the bit most cleaning companies never put in writing.

Keys are never labelled with your address

Every key is tagged with a code only we can match to a customer, and the list that connects code to address is kept separately and securely. A lost key is a lost piece of metal, not a map to your front door.

Signed out, signed back in

Keys are held securely between visits and signed out on the day of your clean to the named cleaner attending. They come back the same day. Nobody takes your key home over a weekend.

Keysafes

If you'd rather nothing left the property, a keysafe is the cleanest option. Fit a decent one out of sight, give us the code, and change the code whenever you want. We'll never share it, and it's stored against your record rather than written in a diary.

Alarms

Give us a dedicated user code for the cleaner rather than your main code, so you can see when it's used and cancel it independently. Tell us about pet-friendly sensors, and tell us what to do if the alarm goes off — a cleaner standing in a beeping hallway with no instructions helps nobody.

If you cancel

Stop your cleans and your key comes back to you, by hand, at the next reasonable opportunity. You don't have to chase us for it. If you'd rather we destroy a keysafe code, say so and we'll delete it from your record.

What we do if something's wrong

If a cleaner arrives and finds a door open, a window forced or something that doesn't look right, they don't go in. They call you and, if needed, the police. Nothing is worth walking into.
